Finding Happiness
The search for true happiness is a universal hunger amongst all cultures class and ages. Thousands of books on finding happiness are available, promising true happiness but there is still unhappiness. It may be true that some of us have made such an idol out of happiness that we do not know, how to deal with unhappiness. It is important to keep in mind that Happiness is not a destiny, its a way of life. Happy people enjoy the journey. Happiness is also a choice. Each and every day we must say, I choose to be happy. Make that all important choice today. Someone stated it succinctly "If you are to busy to feel miserable then you will be happy".
There are various types of happiness. There is happiness of wealth, happiness of good health, happiness of family, happiness of friends, happiness of achievement and there is spiritual happiness. Spiritual happiness is the only permanent happiness.
There is a big difference between happiness & joy. Happiness is not based on externals such as wealth, posessions, materialistic things, relationships, pleasure and entertainment etc. Happiness can be fleeting, joy is soul deep.
We all have a God shaped vacuum within us, money, gambling, sex, entertainment, drugs and alcohol cannot and will not satisfy us. Because we are created in the image of our Creator, He alone can fill that void; without our Creator Jesus, we will feel empty, helpless and hopeless, filled with despair.
You cannot know the meaning of life, until you know the God who created you. Then only will you feel content and happy when you discover your Creator-Jesus Christ and discover his purpose for your life.
Lasting happiness comes from knowing, believing, following worshipping Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and soon coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. True lasting happiness is the result of expressing our faith, trust and obedience to Jesus Christ.
Happiness is found through a deep relationship with our Creator. Happiness is a by product from knowing our Creator God.
Happiness comes from feeling brand new inside.
Happiness is a by-product of experiencing a relationship with Jesus Christ
